Dr Death story removed from the web on orders from EU 'Stasi'
Google
has removed a link to a Telegraph article covering the 2009 trial of Dr Edward
Erin, the doctor found guilty of attempting to poison his pregnant mistress
so she would miscarry their son.
The link
has been removed as part of a European Court of Justice ruling which forces the
search engine to take down links to "inadequate, irrelevant or no longer
relevant" information. Read the full list of affected stories here.
The
article contains extracts from an email Erin sent to a colleague after his
mistress, who worked as his secretary, fell pregnant after a month of dating.
Dr Erin
urged her to have an abortion, saying they were not ready for a child. He
bombarded her with text messages claiming she would “destroy” his life if she
went ahead with the baby, and even threatened to kill himself.
