Our leaders not quite SO posh as first feared

Our PM is extremely posh and privileged, but I was amazed to discover that his cabinet isn’t quite so public school dominated as I had assumed.

Here’s the latest list of men and women below, with the publish schoolboys (and girls) highlighted.  They are 55 per cent.

I had a robust discussion about class and privileged with my mate Leigh the other day, which prompted this piece of research.  I’m glad I did as, like I said, it shows things aren’t as bad as first feared.

Mind you, if you also include those regularly at cabinet, who aren’t full members (80 per cent public school), the overall proportion rises from 55 per cent to 63 per cent.

Some way to go before privilege is squeezed out through real equality of opportunity … but this looks like progress.  So, well done Dave.

I’ve included the cabinet members’ Wiki links for reference.
