Nestle’s going, Allders is closing … now Bank of America is leaving. Will the last big business in Croydon please put out the lights?
Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) is closing its Croydon data centre next year.
They will be moving from Cherry Orchard Road to Canary Wharf and Bromley in the first quarter of 2013.
My question is – what’s the council doing? They could be easing the tax burdens, red tape and regulatory barriers to business. They could be shedding more staff, cutting parking charges, freezing exec salaries – or cutting them. All we hear is, they’re meeting people!!
