The cult of Corbyn
I've been following Jeremy Corbyn on Facebook, ever since I heard him give a lacklustre speech at the Croydon TUC, before he was elected Leader and the experience has left me in no doubt that Corbynism is a cult.
It was an unremarkable speech, delivered without any noticeable modulation, but I couldn't argue with anything he said. He outlined his ideas for a fairer society, a fairer kind of politics and ever since he was scrupulous in not attacking any of his rivals. Though to be fair, he always slagged off Capitalism and the profit motive.
But it was his followers, the Corbynistas, that scared me. They savaged and insulted anyone who left a comment that was anything other than adulatory. I even had an anti-semitic email that shook me. It wasn't a rant - it was a calm explanation of how the Jews had created every conflict so that their businesses could prosper and until and unless the problem was sorted the world would be condemned to follow the same path. Remind you of anyone?
Today, April 7, Corby posted a 'get well Boris, message on Facebook. I have no doubt that he meant it. The comments his follolwers left connfoirm thatg to many, he's the Messiah. I haven't seen any 'rot in hell Boris' comments yet, but postings like these below confirm the cult of Corbyn....
"What a wonderful man you are Jeremy. Always gracious and exemplary in character. Such an absolute gentleman. Not only a brilliant politician, but also a genuinely lovely person, who is always compassionate to others. No matter how they have behaved towards yourself. I wish we could all be more like you sir.

"The funny thing is... I believe you. You’re so just and genuine that I’m sure you feel sorry for the despicable Boris. And unlike you I’m not so magnanimous which means that, even though I wish him a speedy recovery, I can still say without a problem how much of a terrible person he is. But then again I’m not a politician and I don’t need to measure my words... love to JC!
"My mother is an NHS nurse who knows firsthand what austerity policies have done to our country. Yet it sickens me that some people believe
Always magnanimous. That's Jeremy Corbyn. A Truly Genuine man and an OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE of what Kinder Politics is all about. RESPECT Jeremy Corbyn
"It’s hard not to feel deeply conflicted ... of course I feel very sorry for him, I wish him a safe and swift recovery. But on the other hand as I do so I think, he never wished such a fate for the thousands of lives lost through his prime ministerial policy, economic and welfare policy, foreign policy, mayoral policy or even the delayed responce to preparing infostructure for this outbreak. I wish him well, and wish he learns to fight for the wellness of others ...
"Wow he really meant it when he said take it on the chin , bless him . I wonder if he's lying there thinking 'I wish I hadn't cheered when we didn't give the nurses a pay rise , things happen for a reason , I hope this is a learning experience for hi
"My thoughts are with the poor, the vulnerable and the elderly who are not afforded the luxury of going into hospital for "precautionary measures " and taking up much needed hospital beds, they have to stay at home and suffer and hope for the best. only the very rich and famous get the treatment boris johnson is getting which he`s never paid for !
"My thoughts are mainly with my nurse friends losing their lives recently to the virus. And all because they didn't have the right equipment. This could have been avoided. They were fighting up till the last minute to get the PPE equipment that could have saved their lives. And other friends who have had children taken away and can't visit them and don't know when they will see them again. My thought are with them.
